Badger’s Brook Estate Shiraz
$35.00
The grapes for this wine were picked in autumn and were given extended maturation after crushing with a gentle pump over of the must. The wine has core ripe fruit supported by sensitive use of French and American oak for two years. The palate is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha, stewed plum-like characters as it ages with some lovely dusty oak nuances. Silky mouthfeel and tannins on the finish are quite restrained. Drink now and enjoy the juiciness or let it continue to develop over the next 12 years.
Colour: dark red/purple
Nose: stewed plums, ripe red, mocha and black berries Palate: blackberry, plum, dusty oak, white pepper
